KYMCO Owners Please Note:
This CDI module is an AC CDI and will not work on your scooter. We have the correct DC CDI modules in stock here:
Direct Current (DC) CDI Module (Ignitor)
Capacitor discharge ignition (CDI module) or ignitor is used on very many gas scooters, ATVs, dirt bikes, and go-karts with modern 4-stroke GY6/QMB139 or Honda-style engines. This ignitor is a commonly used scooter module in the motorsports industry. This style of connector CDI is used by Baja Motorsports, Roketa, Schwinn, Tank, TNG, Vento, X-Treme, and many more manufacturers and brands of scooters.
This CDI module is commonly used on today’s popular medium to large engine sizes of 50cc, 125cc, and 150cc and has a 6-pin rounded connector as pictured. Also very common on 90cc and 110cc Chinese made ATVs & dirt bikes. This CDI scooter module is equipped with a “rev limiter”, which limits the revolutions (RPMs or speed) of the engine.
Note:
4-stroke and 2-stroke engines require different engine timing. Though they may appear visually similar, a CDI module from a 4-stroke engine cannot be interchanged with a CDI module from a 2-stroke engine.
